Incense Stick & Cone Care Tips
Share
Let scent rise slowly—and settle into sacred stillness.
Incense has long been used to mark transitions, deepen meditation, and elevate ambiance. Whether you choose the graceful trail of a stick or the concentrated smoke bloom of a cone, each burn is a ritual. Here’s how to care for both forms.
Choose the Right Burner
-Always use a proper heat-resistant holder designed for sticks or cones.
-For sticks: ensure the ash falls safely into a coaster or tray.
-For cones: place on a flat, fireproof surface with good airflow.
Lighting with Intention
-Incense sticks: Light the tip, let it flame briefly, then gently blow it out.
-Incense cones: Light the pointed tip, let the flame burn until the tip begins to glow before gently blowing out the flame.
For both, allow the ember to smolder and release fragrance naturally.
Placement, Ventilation, and Discard
-Always burn in a well-ventilated, open space, preferable with an open window or door to avoid smoke buildup and to allow the smoke to travel freely.
-Keep away from flammable objects, pets, and drafts.
-Never leave burning incense unattended.
-Take care in ensuring that the Incense has completely extinguished before discarding in the trash can, especially in the case of Incense cones.
Storage
Store incense in an airtight container to protect the incense from moisture and preserve its the life of the fragrance.
A Ritual of Presence
Use incense to mark morning intention, evening wind-down, or sacred pause. Let the aroma guide you inward—toward reflection, clarity, and calm.
Pair with matching candles or sprays to layer your scent story.
Pause. Reflect. Manifest.
